Mario has more than 17 years of experience in the construction management industry on projects in the Residential, Mixed Use, Educational, and Exhibitory market sectors. Mario is skilled in project management, organization and time management, vendor and material management, critical path management, scheduling, value engineering and design management, bidding and trade buy-outs, contract procurement and administration, preparation for site safety and site logistical planning, On-site quality control management, change control and document management, shop drawing procedures, and procurement of DOT and DOB permits.
Graduating in 1997 from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and in 2000 obtaining a Certificate in Construction Management from New York University; Mario has worked with three major NYC based companies in the construction industry, Humphreys & Harding, Bovis Lend Lease, and Rockrose Development. His position and responsibilities with each of these companies has broadened his skills, allowing him to experience the various areas of the construction industry. In addition he was a key-member to the project management team of some major successful construction projects. This experience has reinforced his professional background to a level able to take on the position of Vice President for KNK Construction LLC., organized in 2005 by Steven Socol.
Steven has nearly 30 years of Construction Management experience involving all facets of construction including Conceptual Estimating, Scheduling, Pre-construction Services, Project Management, and Field Supervision. Steven possesses strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving ability – a decisive team member with extensive experience in hiring and managing people.
In 2005 Steven started and organized KNK Construction LLC; a New York City-based Construction Company. He was responsible for all daily activities of the company. Steven personally oversaw all phases of the construction projects for both in-house and third party developers.
From 1986 to 2005 Steven worked at Bovis Lend Lease LMB, Inc where he went on to become a Project Executive and Vice President. In that time he completed numerous extensive alterations, new construction, restoration projects, and new tenant work.
Steven has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the Yeshiva University of New York, and a degree in Construction Management from New York University.
